Equaluna was founded by Jenny Bassett, Australian-born and deeply shaped by lived experience. Jenny has walked through profound loss, major life transitions, and the tender work of starting over. These experiences inform the compassionate, grounded heart of Equaluna.

Since childhood, animals had been her refuge and teachers. When she discovered the stillness of horses in Malibu, she found a way to listen beneath the noise of grief, to feel the ground under her feet again, and to remember a deeper rhythm of being. That personal journey evolved into guiding others through loss, transition, and renewal.

Since 2019, Jenny has partnered with horses as co-facilitators in the healing process. She is a certified Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator and a TRH Mastery facilitator in Equine Guided Empowerment and Somatic Reprogramming.

Prior to her equine work, Jenny led global humanitarian and philanthropic initiatives in support of women impacted by war, conflict, and displacement. Her education in communications and classics from NYU, together with years of humanitarian work, continues to shape her compassionate, integrative approach to equine-guided healing.

Today, she brings the same vision, dedication, and gift for connecting worlds into the realm of equine-guided empowerment, bridging science and soul through the quiet presence of the herd.

Jenny is deeply committed and passionate about guiding others toward authenticity, somatic intelligence, and deep relational awareness.

Her path is inspired by a commitment to less suffering and more kindness, guided by breath and the gentle art of being with horses.
